Job summary

CASES in Harlem, NY is seeking a Clinical Criminal Legal Specialist to provide linkages between court systems and the NCS program. The role focuses on clinical case management for individuals with mental illness directed at reducing reliance on incarceration and improving outcomes within the ATD/ATI framework.

The position requires NY licensure in LMSW/LCSW/LMHC or eligibility within six months, with strong court advocacy and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC license required or eligible within six months.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to advocate effectively in court settings.

Responsibilities

• Engage potential participants and their legal representation in and around the courtroom.
• Ensure participants understand the conditions of their mandate and engagement in CASES.
• Accompany participants to all court appearances and advocate to judges for enrollment in CASES.

Education
