Position: PRN Clinical Counselor

We are hiring a PRN Clinical Counselor for our clinical team within our inpatient psychiatric hospital. Responsibilities include conducting initial assessments, diagnosis, documentation, and providing group and individual therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver direct patient services, including assessments, diagnosis, and documentation for care placement.
  2. Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, with proper documentation.
  3. Communicate medical necessity of services using ASAM guidelines.
  4. Complete appeals with third-party payers as needed.
  5. Communicate effectively with staff.
  6. Coordinate with program administration.
  7. Organize professional development and training in diagnosis, assessment, therapy, and documentation.
  8. Model professionalism and caring attitudes.
  9. Maintain effective clinical organization and delegate responsibilities appropriately.
  10. Understand and communicate policies and procedures.
  11. Evaluate therapeutic interventions' impact on the milieu.

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling or related field, or Master's in Clinical Counseling or Social Work.
  2. Active professional license in Kentucky (e.g., CADC, LCADC, LPCA, LPCC, CSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT).
Additional Qualifications:
  1. At least 2 years of experience in management or administrative settings with performance improvement standards.
  2. Strong communication skills.
  3. Self-motivated with a focus on continuous quality improvement.
