Job summary

Children's Home Society of Florida is seeking a Clinical Counselor Registered Intern to provide behavioral health assessment and counseling in various settings, including office, home or school community. The role supports recovery and wellbeing for children and families under supervision of licensed clinicians.

You will deliver evidence‑based therapies, participate in treatment planning, and coordinate with partners to ensure comprehensive care, while meeting program requirements and quality

Qualifications

• MA/MS in Social Work, Psychology, MFT or Mental Health Counseling or related field with required coursework.
• Florida Registered Intern status is active and unrestricted.
• Experience with at‑risk children and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health assessment and counseling to individuals and families to promote recovery and wellbeing.
• Deliver individual, group and family therapy; coordinate services and referrals.
• Maintain clinical records and enter data into CIS and other systems.
• Facilitate psycho‑educational groups and trainings.
• Supervise/coordinate therapeutic activities and ensure quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate with other professionals and community resources.
