Job summary

Jewish Family Children’s Services of the Suncoast is seeking a dedicated Counselor to provide outpatient psychotherapy to diverse populations in our community. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, person-centered care with focus on accurate assessments and timely documentation.

You will collaborate with a skilled team to support clients in achieving stability and growth. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in psychology or social work and Florida LMHC/LCSW licensure or Registered Intern

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Florida LMHC or LCSW license or Registered Intern preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license, ability to respond outside regular hours, and pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments.
• Develop treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Perform psychotherapy sessions with assigned clients and groups.
• Maintain accurate and timely client documentation in electronic health records as required by the program.
• Complete required assessment tools and progress notes promptly and in compliance with internal and funding source documentation requirements.
