Job summary

Centerpoint – Versailles, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Clinical Coordinator (RN) for Surgery to coordinate staffing, ensure high-quality patient care, and support QA/QI efforts. Role targets an RN with perioperative experience and strong organizational skills in a 7a–3:30p schedule.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment, no weekends or holidays, and comprehensive benefits. Monday–Friday days, occasional on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Experience as a Surgery RN with circulation, PreOp, PACU & Infusion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff scheduling and educational/development activities.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of clinical services and patient flow.
• Perform QA/QI initiatives and participate in performance improvement.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and adhere to scope of practice.
• Maintain regular attendance and support on-call shifts if required.

Our general surgery staff consists of expert surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and technicians all dedicated to performing successful operations and promoting comfortable healing and recovery. Our most common surgical services consist of endo, ortho, and pain procedures. Due to the high volume of outpatient procedures, our surgery staff do not work weekends or holidays.

How you’ll contribute

Our Clinical Coordinator RN’s provide direct patient care using the nursing process and supports unit coordination activities to promote safe, high-quality outcomes. Serves as a resource to staff and assists with scheduling, education, and performance initiatives.

As a Clinical Coordinator RN you will:

• Coordinate staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of clinical services and patient flow.
• Perform quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives.
• Serve as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission requirements.
• Provide direct patient care as needed in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• 1-2 years minimum experience as a Surgery RN- must be experienced in circulation, PreOp, PACU & Infusion
• 2-4 years critical care experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Handle with Care preferred
