Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Clinical Coordinator (RN) to manage patient flow and coordinate nursing activities on weekends. The role requires Virginia RN licensure, 3+ years of clinical experience, and supervisory background.

You will follow physician orders, ensure safe, compassionate care, and supervise a team of RNs, LPNs, and support staff within the unit's policies and procedures. A BSN within five years is required.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
• AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience.
• Charge Nurse experience or supervisory experience.
• Diploma or Associate Degree in nursing; BSN required within 5 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient flow and coordinates activities and communication for the nursing unit during the assigned shift.
• Ensures patient care is delivered to all patients on the unit in an efficient, caring and courteous manner.
• Follows physician/licensed independent provider orders and ANA codes of ethics.
• Organizes and plans work with input from patients/family and uses sound clinical judgment.
• Supervises RNs, LPNs, care partners and unit secretaries, delegating tasks as needed.
