Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital in Needham is seeking a Clinical Coordinator (RN) to join the Operating Room team. You will plan, organize, and oversee daily perioperative operations and staff coordination in Needham.

The role requires strong leadership, perioperative nursing experience, and a BSN with MA nursing license. PALS within one year, CNOR preferred; a sign-on bonus of $20,000 is offered for full-time hires with 2+ years OR experience.

Qualifications

• RN with BSN and MA nursing license.
• PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years perioperative nursing experience.
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, and overseeing daily clinical and administrative operations of Needham Perioperative operations.
• Preparing staff schedules, requests and allocates resources and facilitates coordination of care/services to meet patient care and operations requirements.
• Developing, recommending and implementing internal standards, policies and procedures to improve quality and cost effectiveness of patient care.
• Selecting, supervising and evaluating nursing and clinical support personnel as well as developing and providing staff education/development programs.
• Leading and participating in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary programs, committees and special projects.
• Working 40 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years perioperative nursing experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience is strongly preferred.
• Leadership/Management experience preferred.

License/Certifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and MA nursing license.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• PALS certification is required within one year of hire if not currently certified.
• CNOR Certification preferred.

**Sign-on bonus of $20,000 for full-time, 40 hour per week hires with over 2 years of direct OR experience as a Registered Nurse (who have not worked here in the past 2 years). **
