Job summary

American Career College is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to organize MRI clinical site assignments, track student vaccinations and CPR certifications, and maintain attendance and site records to ensure program integrity.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, ARRT MRI RT(MR) certification, CPR certification, and at least two years of clinical MRI experience. You will liaise with clinical facilities and participate in student orientations and events.

Qualifications

  • Must hold ARRT MRI RT(MR) certification; radiography credential is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least two years of professional clinical MRI experience.
  • Experience with MS Office/Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a diverse student and staff community.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assign students to MRI clinical sites.
  • Maintain vaccination records and CPR certification status.
  • Manage attendance records and site evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and state requirements.
  • Establish and maintain communication with clinical facilities and ACC staff.
  • Assist with student orientations and program activities.

Job description

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and assigning students to clinical sites for the program. Ensures students are current on vaccinations, assigns clinical sites and records attendance. Maintains records and ensures compliance with the college and program policies and procedures in accordance with accreditation and state requirements. Participates in school activities such as student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Collects and maintains appropriate documentation related to clinical education, such as health forms, CPR certification, student evaluations and site evaluations.
  • Plans and coordinates students' clinical site orientations.
  • Plans, coordinates, and manages students' assignments to clinical facilities.
  • Identifies clinical sites which support the student clinical requirements.
  • Maintains accurate clinical site information database, including contact information and specific contractual agreement termination and expiration dates.
  • Establishes and maintains communication lines between the clinical facilities, staff and American Career College.
  • Apprises clinical affiliate staff of student assignment in each clinical area.
  • Works with clinical affiliate staff to clarify policies and procedures specific to facility.
  • Assists with clinical clearance of students.
  • Maintains established department policies, procedures and attends in-services and other required meetings.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Education, Certifications and Licensures
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • One (1) year of teaching or clinical instruction experience preferred.
  • Experience with MS Excel.
  • Ability to demonstrate bilingual skills is preferred but not required.
Required Education, Certifications, and Licensures
  • Must be a Magnetic Resonance (MRI) Technologist knowledgeable of current MRI technology.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution.
  • ARRT Registered Technologist certification in MRI RT(MR). Radiography credential is preferred; MRI credential is expected.
  • At least two years of professional clinical experience in MRI.
  • CPR certification.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Must demonstrate training in educational methods, testing and evaluation and evidence strength in instructional methodology, delivery and techniques as indicated by evaluation personnel within 30 days of beginning instruction.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Ability to demonstrate a thorough, accurate and practical knowledge of their field or discipline.
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate the theories of their field or discipline.
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and machines such as computer terminal, calculator and copier.
  • Ability to manage and work effectively in a highly ethnic and culturally diverse student and associate community.
  • Ability to use effective communication skills, both oral and written, including presentations and effective listening skills.
  • Ability to effectively use interpersonal skills, follow through with duties, provide attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to self-direct, self-pace, multi-task and function well under pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to interpret rules, regulations, policies and procedures and assure compliance.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to travel/drive locally on a weekly, daily and/or on an as needed basis.
