Job summary

American Career College seeks a Clinical Ultrasound Manager to develop, coordinate, and maintain clinical education sites for the Ultrasound Technologist Program. You will ensure experiences meet accreditation standards and learning outcomes, while managing partnerships and site relations.

Under the Program Director, you lead contract renewals, identify new sites, and foster long-term collaboration with clinical affiliates to support student placements and program success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Ultrasound Technology, Healthcare, or Education.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Current credentialing with ARDMS or ARRT (S) in a relevant specialty.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Program Director, the Ultrasound Technologist Clinical Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining clinical education sites, student clinical placements, and affiliation agreements for the Ultrasound Technologist Program. This position assists in securing new clinical partnerships and ensures that clinical experiences meet program objectives, accreditation standards, and student learning outcomes. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Clinical Manager oversees operations related to building and maintaining relationships with clinical affiliates.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Maintains contracts between ACC and quality clinical sites, including obtaining renewal signatures, explaining unique requirements of a clinical site, and terminating contracts with clinic sites unable to provide appropriate clinical education.
• Identifies clinical sites which support the student clinical requirements.
• Assists with identifying and developing new professional medical relationships for additional/new clinical sites.
• Develops and maintains professional working relationships with hospital, medical office, and clinical site directors under current contract to the schools.
• Maintains on-going contact with existing contracts and ensures positive long-term relationships with employers.

Preferred Education, Certifications and Licensures

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program accredited by a body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Current credentialing with ARDMS or ARRT (S) in a relevant specialty.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
