Job summary

Greenville OB/GYN, part of Physicians East, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant – Clinical Coordinator I to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment.

You will perform delegated procedures under supervision, manage patient flow, record vital signs, and maintain exam rooms as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Strong EMR experience and a patient-centered approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree Medical Assistant program and current certification through AAMA, NHA, RMA or similar organization is required.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/HER) systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication with privacy and HIPAA awareness.
• Ability to work professionally with patients and healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients to exam rooms and prepare for examinations.
• Take and record vital signs accurately and document allergies and medications.
• Maintain and stock exam rooms and clinic areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Prepare and administer medications under physician supervision.
• Update EMR with standing orders for tests (UA, Flu, Strep) and follow physician directions.
• Provide patient flow support and assist during routine procedures.
