Job summary

PCCA in Houston, TX is seeking a Clinical Compounding Pharmacist to serve as a liaison between PCCA and its members, answering questions, providing training, and offering consultations.

The role involves advising on extemporaneous compounding, pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, and USP/FDA compliance, while educating pharmacists and technicians through seminars and lectures. Strong communication and office software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D or BS in Pharmacy required.
• Five years of compounding experience in a pharmacy practice.
• BCSCP preferred, or 5+ years of significant compounding with USP <797>/<800> exposure.
• Knowledge of extemporaneous compounding issues from training or work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer members' scientific questions by phone or email promptly and professionally
• Teach pharmacists and technicians in CORE and other educational seminars
• Serve as an ambassador for PCCA and the pharmacy profession
• Interact with customers, physicians, academicians, staff, vendors and regulators
• Provide consultative services on extemporaneous compounding, pharmacology and USP/FDA standards
• Educate pharmacists and technicians through lectures at events and seminars
• Assist with special projects as needed
