Job summary

HealthWealth Pharmacy in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team. This role focuses on sterile compounding and accurate medication preparation in a compliant environment.

You will work under pharmacists, maintain logs, manage inventory, and support patient care while upholding USP guidelines and state regulations. Excellent attention to detail and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license or registration required.
• Prior compounding pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of USP 795, USP 797, and/or USP 800 guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management software and compounding equipment.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound customized sterile medications according to physician prescriptions and formulas.
• Measure, mix, and package compounded preparations including creams, capsules, solutions, and suspensions.
• Maintain a clean, organized compounding environment following USP 795 and USP 797 guidelines.
• Assist pharmacists with prescription verification, labeling, and quality control checks.
• Manage inventory of compounding ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
• Document compounding records and maintain accurate logs per regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and healthcare providers.
