Job summary

Ideal candidates hold RHIT or CCS credentials with at least three years of ICD-9 coding experience and the ability to read medical records. You must thrive in a high-volume environment with strong written and verbal communication with physicians.

Qualifications

• RHIT or CCS credential is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of ICD-9 coding experience; CPT assignment and APC grouping.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret medical records and other treatment documentation.
• Must work effectively in a high-volume environment and communicate with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure accurate APC assignment.
• Resolve pre-bill coding edits and work coding-related denials.
• Maintain coding quality, productivity, and compliance standards.
• Provide operational support to stay current on workflows.
