Job summary

Renown Health in Reno, NV seeks a senior education specialist for revenue cycle coding to develop and deliver training on ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, documentation, billing policies, and regulatory compliance across facility and professional coding.

You will audit provider documentation, coordinate education schedules, mentor clinicians, and serve as a knowledge resource for coding standards; this role does not involve patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: English literacy and professional certification in coding.
• Experience: 5–8 years in facility and/or pro-fee coding with audits.
• Teaching: experience delivering education to providers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver education on ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, and billing policies.
• Coordinate audits and educate providers to improve documentation and coding accuracy.
• Serve as liaison between providers, clinical staff, and coders.
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and drive improvements in reimbursement.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIM coding policies.
