Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking dedicated Clinical Care Technicians for our Medical Surgical IV unit at the New Brunswick campus.

The Medical Surgical IV unit is a 31-bed Oncology Unit for non-oncological cases, with all private rooms. You will encounter a variety of med-surg and intermediate care cases.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Life Support (CPR) from the American Heart Association

Preferred:

• Previous nursing assistant or clinical experience from an accredited program
• Certified nursing assistant certification

Scheduling:

• Day shift, 24 hours per week (2 shifts), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, including every other weekend and holidays

Essential Functions:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide nursing care including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and bedside care (bathing, mouth, skin care)
• Deliver patient care appropriate to the patient's age, based on physical, educational, and safety criteria
• Ensure safe patient outcomes through proper practice and judgment
• Communicate effectively with patients and nursing team about patient status
• Participate in planning patient care from admission to discharge for safe transition
