Responsibilities

• Assist the professional RN in patient care and communicate findings to the nurse.
• Help patients with activities of daily living ensuring safety and dignity.
• Greet patients and families and respond to requests promptly.
• Collect and report patient data to the assigned nurse.
• Prepare rooms for admissions, transfers, or discharges.
• Transport patients and assist with sitters as needed.
• Provide comfort measures and assist with mobility and ROM exercises.
• Set up for procedures and assist medical staff as required.
• Clean and discard used equipment following procedures.
• Collect specimens and prepare them for the lab under standard precautions.
• Care for biomedical equipment and report malfunctions.
• Accompany patients to procedures and monitor equipment as directed.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge tasks as requested.
