Job Summary

Coordinates and assists providers and nursing staff to ensure safe, quality, and cost-effective care for the practice population. Provides and documents clinical care while maintaining a safe and clean environment under the supervision of a registered nurse/APP or physician. CNAs I and II can work under a physician or APP's license, but must work at least 8 hours every 24 months under direct supervision of an RN at the clinic, per North Carolina Board of Nursing requirements, or arrange supervision at a sister NHMG clinic. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience:
• Two years of acute experience for CNA 1 preferred.
• One year of CNA 2 or EMT experience preferred.
• One year in a healthcare setting or as a Physician Assistant or medical student enrolled in an accredited program or gap year preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
• NA I in good standing within the NA registry required.
• OR NA II in good standing with NA II certification in the required state required.
• OR current EMT credential in the appropriate state required.
• OR one year of clinical medical office experience required.
• OR Physician Assistant or Medical School student enrolled in an accredited program or in a gap year required.
• Additional Skills:
• Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.
