Remote - must live in or near Ashe, Alleghany, or Stokes County, North Carolina.
The Family Partner is or has been a primary caregiver (e.g., parent; legal guardian) of a child with serious emotional, intellectual/developmental, behavioral, substance use or mental health concerns. They possess knowledge of the behavioral health system and provide coaching, modeling, and education on system protocols and processes. The Family Partner supports children, youth, and families by adhering to System of Care (SOC) values, facilitating collaboration among multiple service providers, and advocating in a trauma-informed, individualized manner. They work with community stakeholders to develop and support local Community Collaboratives, ensuring active youth and family representation, and provide training and leadership opportunities to families and agencies. The Family Partner collaborates with the SOC Coordinator to serve children, youth, families, and stakeholders across a three-county area.
