Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse preferred; Medical Assistant with experience considered.
• At least one year of related coursework or clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with patient communication and records documentation is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient information and medical history before visits.
• Maintain organized, clean work areas and prep for next day.
• Ensure availability and maintenance of instruments, supplies, equipment.
• Perform therapeutic nursing modalities per physician orders.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain proper documentation and patient charts.
• Schedule surgeries or tests and obtain authorizations from insurers.
• Assist with patient calls and document communications.
• Input orders and history & physical for procedures if allowed.
• Customer service duties in absence of CS rep.
• DME supplies and report issues to DME/Inventory Manager when radiologic technologist absent.
• Basic casting and splinting to assist provider when radiologic technologist absent.
• Assist with supervising physician messages in absence of staff.
