Job summary

WVU Health System in Morgantown, WV is seeking an unlicensed assistive personnel to support registered nurses by performing direct and indirect patient care tasks in a family-centered environment.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, transport patients, perform basic tests, and help with equipment and safety; requires high school diploma and BLS within 30 days. Schedule is Day shift, 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS or HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to follow nursing care plans and directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care with basic physical care as directed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and bed-making.
• Safely transport patients for tests and discharge.
• Perform routine phlebotomy tasks in selected departments.
• Record vital signs and basic measurements as required.
