Job summary

University Otolaryngologists is seeking a Clinical Care Assistant to greet patients, take vitals, and room patients in a busy medical office. You will complete charting, manage phones, and support the EMR system while ensuring a clean, compliant work environment.

Responsibilities include preparing sterile kits, assisting physicians during procedures, and delivering patient education. A minimum of one year in a medical office is preferred; strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of practice management software, timekeeping software and EHR.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
• Must be aware of and comply with OSHA standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• greet patients, take vitals as needed and room the patient.
• Complete chart documentation and maintain clean exam rooms.
• Clean instruments per protocol and maintain clean work area.
• Assist in tracking medical and office supplies.
• Distributes/Routes faxes, test results, referral letters, etc.
• Answer incoming phone calls and return patient calls promptly.
• Manage EMR desktop and alerts/flags.
• Assist physicians during procedures.
• Prepare and date sterile kits per protocol.
• Provide discharge instructions/education to patients.
