Job summary

SCA Health in the United States is seeking a patient care associate to support operations in a 24/7 inpatient orthopedic unit. You will assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and basic comfort, while maintaining safety and cleanliness of patient bays and equipment per policy.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and preferred experience in a clinical setting; you should be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. Pay is USD 16.00 per hour, with full-time scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of successful work experience is desirable, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Work requires some pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients in transferring/ambulation
• Push-pull patients in wheelchairs
• Assists in maintaining a healthful and safe environment
• Provide post-operative snacks/drinks to patients as directed
• Clean patient bays following proper policy and procedures
• Clean any equipment as directed following manufacturer’s instructions
• Participates in any in‑service/education as required.
