Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Master's in Social Work/Counseling required.
• Current clinical, social work, or RN license as required by state regulations.
• CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests, manage initial assessment and referral process, determine level of care, admit to services, and arrange follow-up.
• Conduct initial evaluation, document symptoms and needs, and inform MD for LOC determination.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers.
• Maintain knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and EMTALA processes.
• Complete preadmission/admission paperwork and precertification with insurance providers.
