Position Description
The St. David’s School of Nursing at Texas State University is seeking a clinical nursing faculty at the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor level for a nine-month appointment with summer employment. This position will function as the Standardized Patient Coordinator for the Simulation Laboratories in a 50% capacity and as a clinical faculty for the remaining 50% effort.
The Standardized Patient Coordinator at Texas State University St. David’s School of Nursing is responsible for coordinating and implementing the standardized patient program, which includes recruiting, training, scheduling, and evaluating standardized patients. This role supports the education and potential expansion of the simulation lab in the school of nursing, providing support to faculty and staff to enhance clinical learning experiences through simulation and training programs.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Faculty responsibilities will include participation in curriculum development and teaching primarily in undergraduate clinical areas, including simulation lab instruction. This position will be located in the nursing building on the Texas State University Round Rock Campus in Round Rock, Texas.
