Job summary

Essentia Health in Superior, WI is seeking a Medical Assistant or LPN to support ambulatory care teams. The role involves assisting RNs and physicians with direct patient care and performing procedures within demonstrated competencies, caring for patients from newborn to elderly.

Shift is day 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 0.6 FTE, with no weekends and potential float to the Duluth Clinic. Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $30.89 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional

• Medical Assistant registration or certification required within one year of hire
• LPN license in the relevant state is required

Job Description:

Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated. Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.

Education Qualifications:

• 48 hours per 2 weeks

• No Weekends

• 8 Hour Shifts

• Day Shift: 8:00AM - 4:30PM

• Potentially float to the Duluth Clinic

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire (must pass certification within two attempts)

• LPN: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state

• Medical Assistant/LPN: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months.
