Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a patient care role in the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMCU). You will assist with basic direct care under supervision, help with feeding and hygiene, and record vital signs as part of routine tasks.
You will collaborate with the nursing team to ensure safe, efficient patient care. The position demands good communication and teamwork, with a 30-hour schedule rotating days/nights and every third weekend.
The Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMCU) provides care for a patient population requiring a more acute level of care but do not require invasive monitoring. Common diagnoses are asthma, bronchiolitis, diabetic ketoacidosis, apnea, multisystem disorders and patients needing BiPAP and CPAP.
NOTE: This is a permanent position and we are unable consider temporary hires, for example, summer only.
The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
