Located in Boston and its surrounding communities, the institute emphasizes equity and compassionate care while adhering to HIPAA. You will also manage EMR entries, stock supplies, transport specimens, and participate in mandatory trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program inclusive of an externship; or 1 year of related clinical experience.
• Nurse Students in a Bachelor’s program with clinical rotations may be considered.
• Phlebotomy certification may be preferred; BLS within 60 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Ensures proper patient identification and safety; HIPAA guidelines followed.
• Obtains and records vital signs, pain scores, weights, heights in EMR.
• Obtains specimens and instructs patients in collection procedures.
• Performs phlebotomy and EKG; uses two patient identifiers.
• Transports patients, records, specimens, equipment and supplies per policy.
• Maintains adequate stock of supplies and assists with record preparation.
• Maintains and cleans equipment and the patient care environment.
