Responsibilities

• Greets patients, families, and colleagues promptly and courteously.
• Ensures proper patient identification and HIPAA compliance.
• Records vital signs, pain scores, weights, and heights in the medical record.
• Obtains specimens and guides patients in specimen collection.
• Performs phlebotomy and EKG as applicable and follows two-patient identifier practice.
• Transports patients, records, specimens, and supplies per policy.
