Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a patient care setting.

Responsibilities

Location: College Park and West Midtown offices
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time

Your Impactful Role

  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information in patients' charts
  • Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination
  • Help to maintain inventories of medical supplies and materials
  • Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
  • Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests
  • Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provides assistance at the front desk
  • Keys data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care and administrative tasks
  • Collect and process lab samples for urine drug screen, hair and breath alcohol testing
  • Conduct audiometry and spirometry testing
  • Provide light wound care and suture removal
  • Perform general office duties, such as answering phone calls, completing required documentation for patient care, or other office tasks as requested by provider(s) or supervisor(s)
  • Travel to different center locations as needed
  • Other duties as required

  • The ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies
  • Willingness to learn and improve; is positively responsive to feedback
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Competency in using an electronic medical record
  • Effectively practices teamwork, respect for coworkers and supervisors, good attendance and punctuality

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants from an approved Peachtree Occupational Medicine approved program - Certified Medical Assistant
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a patient care setting
  • Occupational Medicine experience required
  • EMR system experience minimum 1 year
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • BLS certification

Desired Qualifications

  • Qualified Drug Screen Collector
  • Qualified Breath Alcohol Technician
  • NIOSH Spirometry training
  • CAOHC hearing training

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The work environment is usually moderate in noise level.
