Job summary

Grand Island Clinic seeks a Clinical Assistant to support daily outpatient operations and deliver compassionate patient care. This role spans clinical and administrative tasks, requiring collaboration with a care team to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Medication Aide, CMA, LPN, RN, or other clinic-approved healthcare credential required.
• Basic Life Support certification required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Previous experience in a clinic or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients while providing a welcoming and professional patient experience.
• Verify patient information and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
• Reconcile medications and update patient records within the EMR.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and routine office procedures.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Document patient care activities and provider instructions in the EMR.
• Schedule patient appointments and assist with follow-up care coordination.
• Educate patients regarding provider instructions, treatments, and follow-up care.
