Job summary

Essentia Health offers a Clinical Assistant Apprenticeship position that trains individuals to become certified through the CCMA program. Apprenticeswork full-time with on-the-job training and classroom courses, aiming to certify after meeting the required hours with the CCMA board and BCLS eligibility.

Positions operate within Pediatrics and Urgent Care, with schedules from 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, and some departments offering 32–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• CCMA board certification required after completing apprenticeship and meeting on-the-job hours requirement.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN, Physician and other providers with direct patient care across all ages from newborn to elderly.
• Participate in on-the-job training with mentors/preceptors while reviewing classroom materials with support from instructors.
