Education / Skills Required

The Clinical Assistant provides direct care to patients, including patient hygiene and activities of daily living, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role involves performing delegated direct care activities permitted for unlicensed personnel under New York State regulations, hospital policies, and standards. The position also includes support functions as assigned by the RN or Manager.

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology.
• Previous experience as a Clinical Assistant, CNA, Nursing Assistant, or EMT for at least one year preferred, or ability to complete training.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients' families, staff, and management.
• Highly motivated; able to work outside normal hours as volume demands.
• Certification in Basic Life Support or willingness to obtain within the first month of hire.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
