Job summary

The Hirsh Center for Arthritis and Sports Medicine in Delray Beach, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, in-person role. You will document in the EMR, take vital signs, draw blood, and support physicians during procedures, including ultrasound work.

Qualifications include preferred certification, 3 years in private practice, strong computer skills, and experience with NextGen EMR; rheumatology/sports medicine experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and EMR experience using NextGen.
• Experience in rheumatology, oncology, orthopedics, sports medicine, and/or pain management (preferred).
• Certification (preferred) for medical assistants if available.

Responsibilities

• Documenting in EMR system.
• Triaging patients.
• Drawing blood.
• Taking patients’ vital signs.
• Assisting doctors with procedures, including ultrasound procedures.
• Returning patient phone calls.
• Ordering, stocking, and tracking medications.
• Coordinating patient care with other medical practices.
• Ordering supplies, stocking supply closet and exam rooms.

Qualified Candidate Requirements:

• Certification (preferred)
