Job summary

National Counseling Group (NCG) in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Clinical Assessment Specialist to conduct Comprehensive Needs Assessments, complete intake paperwork, and document CNAs in the EHR. You will collaborate with guardians, providers, and MCOs, coordinating referrals and service authorizations to ensure timely care.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate client records, communicating with care teams, and supporting leadership with timely documentation and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for a full Mental Health license (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities are essential.
• Experience with EHR and collaborative care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNAs) and client intake.
• Populate client records with diagnoses, medications and notes in EHR.
• Coordinate referrals and service authorizations with MCOs and families.
