Job summary

Welkom Natural Wellness in Welkom, Free State, seeks a Clinical Aromatherapist & Product Developer to design personalized aromatherapy treatments and lead product formulation for high-quality essential oil blends.

You will work hands-on with clients, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with marketing on product descriptions. A recognized Clinical Aromatherapy qualification and at least four years of practice are required; relocation to Welkom may be needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Clinical Aromatherapy from IFPA/RAA/AIA.
• At least 4 years of active practice as a Clinical Aromatherapist.
• Experience in product development and cosmetic formulation.
• Strong knowledge of essential oil chemistry and safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication and client education abilities.
• Based in Welkom, willing to relocate if required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and create treatment plans.
• Administer aromatherapy treatments (massage, inhalations, topical).
• Develop and formulate new essential oil blends and wellness products.
• Source essential oils and materials with ethical sourcing.
• Ensure formulations meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain detailed records of treatments and formulas.
• Educate clients and staff on essential oil safety.
• Collaborate with marketing on product descriptions.
• Stay updated with aromatherapy research and trends.
• Manage inventory of oils, materials, and finished products.
• Contribute to brand image and product quality.
