Position Overview
The Clinical Applications Specialist (CAS) reports to the Manager, Clinical Applications. This role functions as a member of the clinical applications specialist team. The CAS serves as a technical expert in a team-sales strategy in partnership with the Area Sales Directors and Regional Sales Managers. This role is highly visible within the organization and works in close collaboration with Marketing, Engineering, and R&D groups. Support of KOL development and hospital reference sites is especially important.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the efforts of Kubtec’s direct sales team through clinical evaluations, demonstrations, and installations.
- Develop and maintain strategic account relationships as the primary technical consultant for specimen imaging and gamma detection products.
- Develop strategies that support customer entities in optimizing their standard procedures and workflows.
- Work with customers pre-sale, throughout the installation phase, and deliver customized training per customer specifications, needs, and applications.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in imaging and workflow protocols and act as a consultant with clients on how to optimize image quality and system performance.
- Train, understand, and communicate nuances of specimen imaging and gamma detection.
- Monitor and drive adoption, retention, expansion, and advocacy of customers within the portfolio.
- Manage and prioritize all opportunities to enhance client relationships and accelerate the decision-making process to grow revenue through increased adoption within a facility or network.
- Mitigate attrition risks by identifying product gaps and coaching customers to take advantage of all available resources.
- Deliver ongoing customer (physician and end user) education and training to develop account proficiency and program success.
- Partner with the sales team by providing technical expertise in various sales cycles to win new business, including accompanying site visits as needed.
- Consult with sales on identifying sales opportunities within the existing installed base to increase sales and revenue goals.
- Support new product evaluation and clinical studies.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Product, Marketing, Engineering, Clinical Applications) by sharing feedback, identifying trends, and making introductions that result in increased value for the customer and Kubtec.
Qualifications and Experience
- In-depth knowledge of the breast care continuum to make consultative clinical recommendations.
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders including physicians, business administration, clinical, etc.
- Ability to develop relationships with key decision-makers and influence them on technically complex procedures.
- Strategic thinker and creative problem solver.
- Hands-on, strong team player, and fully accountable for delivering agreed-upon tactical performance metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to multitask.

- 5+ years’ experience operating in clinical applications or clinical training.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
