Job summary

Georgia Urology seeks a Clinical Application Analyst to optimize and support its clinical technology portfolio, including Nextgen EMR/PM, Phreesia, and related systems. You will collaborate with clinical and operations leaders to improve workflows, provide training, and ensure high availability of health IT tools.

The role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, project coordination, and ongoing education in healthcare technology.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business, computer science, or information science or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years working in the IT field, healthcare preferred but not required.
• Nextgen EMR/PM administration experience preferred, but not required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Must have a valid State of Georgia Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assesses how clinical, administrative, and financial roles interact with clinical technology to help optimize workflows as they interact with the technology.
• Work on a clinical team to analyze workflow and technical assessments of clinical applications for optimal use.
• Audit and train providers and clinical staff on use of clinical technology applications.
• Go Live support and post-implementation support.
• Maintain and create documentation of manuals and workflows as it relates to the usage of clinical applications.
• Participate in resolving, and manage to resolution, open support issues with clinical application vendors.
• Maintain continuing education activities and actively participate in related networking and user groups to continually improve knowledge on industry technology and awareness of best of breed solutions and trends.
• Provide support to the Systems Software Engineer and Clinical Application Manager with respect to maintaining data and reporting within the Nextgen System.
• Participates in regulatory related discussions and stays current on related topics that affect Georgia Urology’s deployed clinical application software portfolio.
• Assist the Training team as needed for developing training documentation, curricula and identifying opportunities for retraining.
• Support other clinical applications: Dash, Phreesia, ScImage, and eMedApps.

Job Title: Clinical Application Analyst

Location Glenridge/Sandy Springs

Reports to: Clinical Application Manager

Job Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Purpose: The Clinical Application Analyst optimizes and supports the Company’s clinical technology applications, including but not limited to new implementations, content and functionality management and development, training material and quality assurance. They collaborate with key operations and clinical leaders to identify and implement ongoing improvements to workflows and use of technology. The Clinical Application Analyst possesses and demonstrates knowledge and skill in the areas of healthcare applications and related technology. They understand healthcare software, explain technical concepts to non-technical professionals, and translate administrative and operating requirements into clear, specific, and actionable curricula and then implement accordingly.

The Clinical Application Analyst supports the portfolio of clinical technology applications leveraged by Georgia Urology, including but not limited to Nextgen (EMR, PM, Portal, Mobile) Phreesia, PACS, LIS, Lab interfaces, Dispensary, Radix/Dash, Mirth and other similar or integrated Healthcare Information Technologies.
