The Clinical Assistant / Certified Orthotic Fitter role at Hanger Clinic in New York supports certified clinicians in orthotic and prosthetic patient care. You will prepare treatment rooms, fabricate devices, and maintain documentation under supervision.

Responsibilities include fitting orthotics, modifying molds, handling soft goods, and assisting with follow-up care. A high school diploma and 1 year in a patient-facing role are required; a driver’s license is preferred.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role.
• Preference for allied health professionals (PTA, OTA, Athletic trainer, etc).
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within policy.

Mansioni

• Provide direct support to certified clinicians in delivering orthotic and prosthetic patient care services.
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for clinical procedures.
• Perform technical fabrication tasks, including making and modifying molds.
• Execute treatment modifications, adjustments, and repairs as directed by the supervising clinician.
• Fit and provide soft goods items to patients.
• Provide alterations and adjustments to soft goods items as needed.
• Provide orthotics fitting services independently.
• Assist with selected patient follow-up care under clinician direction.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation of all patient care.
• Communicate patient information and care outcomes to the supervising clinician.
• Ensure all procedures comply with clinical protocols and standards.
