Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have CNA, be a nursing student with one medical-surgical clinical rotation, or have three months of clinical care experience.
• English literacy and excellent communication and customer service are required.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.
• Licenses/certifications: CNA or BLS may be required in certain roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide both clinical and administrative assistance on the unit.
• Assist with ADLs, ambulation, bed-making, transporting patients, and specimen handling.
• Welcome and orient patients, family members, and others to the environment.
• Provide administrative support to the unit and staff to allow patient care to take priority.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical charts and process paperwork between departments.
