Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform administrative and select clinical duties under the direction of a provider. The role supports the Neurosurgery SGF department and follows day shift hours from 8am to 4:30pm.

Ideal candidates have completed an MA program or hold an accredited LPN diploma, plus CMA/RMA/NCMA/NHA/LPN certification and must obtain American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a formal MA training program including pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, and externship.
• OR graduated with an accredited LPN Diploma.
• Certification as CMA/RMA/NCMA/NHA or LPN required or obtain BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records.
• Clinical duties include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood.
