Job summary

Midwestern Career College seeks a Clinical Instruction & Supervision professional to lead nursing student activities in clinical settings, align with Board of Nursing regulations, and provide direct instruction and evaluation of nursing skills.

You will develop clinical judgment using evidence-based teaching, offer timely feedback, identify at-risk students for remediation, and maintain thorough attendance and evaluation documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Illinois.
• Minimum of 2–3 years recent clinical experience.
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred.
• Ability to travel to different clinical sites.
• Proficiency with educational technology and electronic documentation systems.

• Supervise students in clinical settings in accordance with Board of Nursing regulations.

Compliance & Professional Standards

• Maintain current and unencumbered RN license.
• Ensure compliance with state Board of Nursing requirements.
• Adhere to institutional policies and clinical affiliate agreements.
• Maintain CPR certification and other required credentials.
• Model professional behavior consistent with nursing standards and ethical practice.

Requirements

Required

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.

Preferred

• Prior teaching experience in a Practical Nursing or Associate Degree Nursing program.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods during lab and clinical instruction.

Ability to lift and move lab equipment and supplies (up to 25 pounds).

Ability to demonstrate nursing skills safely.
