UAB Medicine is seeking a Telephone Triage Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care and clinical assessment via phone and electronic communication. The role evaluates patient symptoms, guides care, and ensures timely follow-up with providers.

Responsibilities include triage, documenting interactions in the EHR, coordinating with clinic staff, and educating patients on treatment plans. Must hold an active RN license in Alabama and BLS certification.

Qualificações

• RN licensure in Alabama and active clinical nursing status.
• Experience with triage, primary care, or ambulatory settings preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing assessment and triage via telephone or electronic communication following guidelines.
• Assess symptoms to determine urgency and disposition, including same-day visits or ER.
• Communicate with providers to relay urgent information and orders as needed.
• Document patient interactions and care plans in the EHR accurately.
• Coordinate care and follow-up with clinic staff for efficient patient care.
• Educate patients on medications and self-care within nursing scope.
