Job summary

Golden State Orthopedics & Spine in San Francisco is seeking a Clinic Lead to work with professional Bay Area athletes and lead a dedicated clinic team.

You will manage staff schedules, oversee clinic operations, and coordinate patient care with physicians. Strong EMR/EHR experience and a patient-first mindset are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to triage patient care questions related to post-op, post-injury, infection, complications, etc.

• Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing the schedule of all Clinic staff, including managing days off schedules
• Overseeing the performance and workload of clinic staff
• Communicating disciplinary problems to the manager
• Working as a float to support Clinic staff and Physician schedules when needed
• Scheduling patients, maintaining inventory, processing orders, explaining insurance benefits, and calling patients to follow up
• Fitting patients with braces, boots, other DME as ordered and directed by physician
• Assessing patients general condition and collecting a focused patient history when working as a Physician Extender
• Collaborating with physicians to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs
• Providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions to patient
• Casting and splinting application and removing as appropriate
• Additional duties as assigned

About the Role

What We're Looking For:

License/Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Athletic Trainer
