Ortonville Area Health Services in Minnesota seeks an RN to join our clinic nursing team in a specialty-support role. You will work closely with multiple specialty services while remaining an integral part of the general nursing team.

This position involves coordinating patient care, preparing and following up for specialty clinics, managing in-basket messages, arranging appointments, and pursuing wound care certification. Weekend rotation included approximately one Saturday every eight.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure with MN and SD licenses.
• Strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
• Interest in wound care and willingness to obtain wound care certification.
• Team-oriented nurse who enjoys variety and coordinating patient care.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing support for specialty providers seeing patients in the clinic.
• Learn and navigate the individual workflows and clinical needs of each specialty service.
• Assist with specialty clinic preparation, patient care, follow-up, and coordination.
• Manage specialty-related in-basket messages and results.
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of specialty appointments and follow-up needs.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team to help ensure continuity of care.
• Obtain wound care certification, if not already certified, and assist with wound care needs within the clinic.
• Work collaboratively with RNs, LPNs, CMAs, providers, and other members of the clinic team.
• Float to other care teams as needed to support clinic staffing and patient care.
• Participate in the Saturday clinic rotation, approximately 1 out of every 8 Saturdays.
