Job summary

Proactive MD in North Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality care within our workplace health program. The RN will perform patient assessments, support providers, and ensure accurate documentation, while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.

The role requires an active RN license, 1+ year clinic experience, and BLS certification; additional CAOHC/NIOSH PFT credentials are preferred or willingness to obtain them before start. Strong patient communication is essential.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• 1+ year of clinic nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association valid for at least 90 days after start date
• Confident in venipuncture skills
• Certified or willing to get certified in CAOHC and NIOSH PFT prior to first day
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as state, federal requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide complete patient assessments including vital signs and pre-examination procedures.
• Document data and assessments in patient records; may use electronic systems.
• Assist providers in consultations, treatment, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Execute medical regimens and nursing interventions.
• Counsel patients and families on health topics.
• Perform medication reconciliation, management, and inventory control.
• Operate medical equipment and maintain supplies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA).
• Triage calls for urgent appointments and referrals; handle documentation.
• Utilize general office skills (keyboarding, email, etc.).
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and caregivers.
