Job summary

Health First is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) in Melbourne, FL to oversee patient care and ensure high standards of documentation and procedures in the clinic setting. The RN will assist physicians, collect specimens, administer medications, and maintain equipment and stock while adhering to policies and safety standards.

The role requires an ASN or Nursing Diploma, Florida RN licensure, BLS certification, and the ability to work collaboratively with the care team.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Florida RN licensure required.
• American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider card required before start date.
• Background check required (ACHA Level 2 where applicable).
• Ability to pass colorblind testing to perform point-of-care tests.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician in procedures as directed.
• Collects blood and/or samples using sterile technique and routes to the correct lab.
• Sterilizes equipment and uses standard clinic devices correctly.
• Administers medications as ordered and documents administration.
• Provides leadership by collaborating with nursing and patient care teams.
• Maintains stock in treatment rooms and documents narcotics and crash cart\ninventory.
• Records patient vital signs, allergies, and complaints in charts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
