Job summary

Wexner Medical Center seeks a Clinic RN to coordinate the patient care team in providing and documenting high-quality outpatient nursing care. The role involves coordinating clinic schedules, assessing and delegating nursing tasks, and guiding care delivery in line with nursing standards.

The RN will lead the patient care team, identify improvement opportunities in care processes, and participate in performance improvement initiatives and clinical research activities.

Job description

The Clinic RN coordinates the patient care team in providing and documenting patient care in accordance with applicable standards of practice; provides clinical nursing support and ensures delivery of quality patient care in an outpatient clinical setting; coordinates clinic schedules; assesses, implements, coordinates, delegates and evaluates nursing care of patients; prioritizes patient care needs and provides nursing care accordingly; assists with or facilitates coordination of care, testing and procedures as ordered by physicians; performs specialized nursing care procedures as outlined in department/unit-specific competency profiles; provides leadership to, and development of, patient care team; identifies opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes; participates in performance improvement activities; participates in medical and nursing research activities.
