Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Clinic RN for the Multidisciplinary Neuro Clinic in an outpatient setting. The RN will coordinate the patient care team, document patient care, and provide nursing support to ensure high-quality service and timely procedures ordered by physicians.

The role includes assessing and coordinating care, delegating tasks, and leading the patient care team while contributing to performance improvement and research activities.

• Performs specialized nursing care procedures as outlined in department competency profiles.
• Provides leadership to and development of the patient care team.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes.

Responsibilities

The Clinic RN coordinates the patient care team in providing and documenting patient care in accordance with applicable standards of practice; provides clinical nursing support and ensures delivery of quality patient care in an outpatient clinical setting; coordinates clinic schedules; assesses, implements, coordinates, delegates and evaluates nursing care of patients; prioritizes patient care needs and provides nursing care accordingly; assists with or facilitates coordination of care, testing and procedures as ordered by physicians; performs specialized nursing care procedures as outlined in department/unit-specific competency profiles; provides leadership to, and development of, patient care team; identifies opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes; participates in performance improvement activities; participates in medical and nursing research activities.
