Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Clinic RN to coordinate patient care in an outpatient setting, document care, and support physicians and the care team.

You will assess, implement, delegate and evaluate nursing care, help schedule clinics, and contribute to quality improvements and research activities within the department. The Clinic RN coordinates the patient care team in providing and documenting patient care in accordance with applicable standards of practice; provides clinical nursing support and ensures delivery of quality patient care in an outpatient clinical setting; coordinates clinic schedules; assesses, implements, coordinates, delegates and evaluates nursing care of patients; prioritizes patient care needs and provides nursing care accordingly; assists with or facilitates coordination of care, testing and procedures as ordered by physicians; performs specialized nursing care procedures as outlined in department/unit-specific competency profiles; provides leadership to, and development of, patient care team; identifies opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes; participates in performance improvement activities; participates in medical and nursing research activities.
