Job summary

Avera is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Internal Medicine Clinic in Marshall, IA. The role focuses on direct resident care, nursing assessments, and medication administration within clinic hours, 8:00am to 5:00pm, 72 hours biweekly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
• Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
• Breath, Alcohol, and Drug Collection Certification is required Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments and evaluation of patients, documenting information.
• Provides continuity of care through verbal and written communication.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
• Coordinates the patient care activities for the clinic.
• Educates patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and wellness.
• Maintains and cleans exam rooms and ensures adequate supplies.
